Managing enrollment requests for a device

MaaS360® allows you to enroll devices in your organization from a single unified management solution.

About this task

After you enroll devices, you can enforce security policies, distribute apps, and provide secure access to corporate data. MaaS360 provides various options to enroll Android, Windows, iOS, and macOS devices. Follow these steps to manage enrollment requests for a device in the MaaS360 Portal.

Procedure

  1. From theMaaS360 Portal Home page, select Devices > Enrollments.
    The Enrollments (Add Device Requests) window is displayed.
  2. Review the following information:
    Option Description
    Status The status of the enrollment request for the device:
    • New: The enrollment request was sent to the device.
    • Failed: An error prevented the request from successfully completing.
    • Complete: The device was enrolled successfully.
    • Pending: The request was sent successfully, but the owner of the device needs to enroll the device.
    Device Name The registered device name.
    Platform The platform of the device.
    Request Date The date that the enrollment request was created.
    Domain The domain that was provided in the enrollment request.
    Available for That group that is associated with the enrollment request.
    Email Address The email address where the enrollment request was sent.
    Policy Set The policy that went into effect for the device when it was first enrolled.
    Registration Date The date the device was successfully enrolled.
    Error Information The reason the enrollment request failed.
    Requested By The administrator who created the enrollment request.
    Comments Any comments about the enrollment request, which is viewed only by the administrator.
    Enrollment URL The URL included in the enrollment request email. The recipient accesses the URL to enroll the device.
    Passcode The passcode included in the enrollment request email. The user types this passcode to enroll the device.
  3. Configure the enrollment settings using the following options:
    Option Description
    Add Device Sends an individual enrollment request to a device. For more information, see Adding devices in the MaaS360 Portal.
    iOS Enrolls multiple devices by using different tools:
    • Apple Configurator: A free macOS tool to configure and deploy iOS devices in the enterprise by using a physical USB connection. For more information about this enrollment method, see Apple Configurator.
    • Apple Device Enrollment Program: A fast streamlined way to deploy your corporate-owned Apple devices. For more information about this enrollment method, see Apple DEP Configuration Guide.
    Android
    • Android Configurator: A method to enroll many Android devices into MaaS360. For more information about this enrollment method, see Android bulk enrollment.
    • KNOX Mobile Enrollment: A quick and automated method to enroll many corporate-owned Samsung devices. For more information about this enrollment method, see Samsung Knox Mobile Enrollment (KME) program.
    • QR Code for Android for Work Managed Device Provisioning: A method to configure corporate-owned Android devices by scanning a QR code from the Android setup wizard. For more information about this enrollment method, see QR code.
    • Android Enterprise Zero-Touch Enrollment: A method to deploy corporate-owned Android devices in bulk without having to set up each device manually. For more information about this enrollment method, see Zero-touch.
    Windows
    • Windows Out-Of-Box Experience: A method that automatically enrolls Windows devices (Windows 10+desktops, tablets, phones) into MaaS360 when a user registers with the Azure Active Directory.     • CMT Co-existence: A method to enroll Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) registered Windows devices (Windows 10+desktops, tablets, phones) to co-exist with the Client Management Tool (CMT) into MaaS360.
