The z/OS® DFSMS Open/Close/End-of-Volume (OCE) component is a set of system routines that builds the control block structure that connects the application, access method, and the operating system. OCE modifications for the TS1140 tape drive (3592 Model E07) include support for the EFMT4 and EEFMT4 recording technologies and the MEDIA11, MEDIA12, and MEDIA13 media types.
