New Function for * $$ SLI to Delete AF Member after Successful Processing

* $$ SLI syntax now supports the new DEL=YES|NO operand. This provides the possibility to delete the AF member specified in the statement. The member is deleted after its successful reading by VSE/POWER in the course of * $$ SLI processing. For details refer to Format 1: Including a Member from a VSE/AF Sublibrary.

New Section about Auditing Changes of Queue Entries

Since VSE/POWER 8.2, four new messages allow auditing changes of queue entries done by VSE/POWER commands. This publication has been updated by adding the new section to aggregate the descriptions found at each queue manipulation command and to provide more details. Refer to Auditing Changes of Queue Entries Done by Queue Manipulation Commands.

XEM Support for Monitoring VSE/POWER Queues

The new XEM (eXtended Event Message) support is introduced for monitoring VSE/POWER queues by an application program. Before using this support, the partition layout for VSE/POWER should be reviewed, as described in Fixable- and Virtual-Storage Requirements.
