What's new in the Maximo Application Suite feature channel

Learn more about what's new in the feature channel for nonproduction instances of Maximo Application Suite and for production instances of Maximo Application Suite as a Service.

Maximo Application Suite incrementally delivers updates to provide new feature capabilities to the feature channel. As a customer-managed user, you can use the feature channel to update your nonproduction instances to preview new features. As a SaaS user, you can use new features in your Maximo Application Suite as a Service environment.

You can subscribe to the feature channel by using a channel subscription. For more information, see Upgrading IBM Maximo Application Suite by using the channel subscription method. Maximo Application Suite as a serviceWildfire risk layer in IBM Outage Prediction
In the Outages page, select the Wildfire risk layer in the Map. This layer uses the Wild land Fire Potential Index (WFPI) to show wildfire risk predictions in the map and includes a scoring legend for interpretation. The layer provides insights into wildfire risk activity to help you assess potential impacts to your territory and assets.

Multiple architecture support for applications, industry solutions, and add-ons
The following applications, industry solutions, and add-ons now support architecture for IBM System/390x (S390x) and IBM Power® (ppc64le) to use existing Red Hat® OpenShift® capabilities through the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform for scalability and resilience.

The following applications, industry solutions, and add-ons now support architecture for IBM System/390x (S390x) and already support architecture for IBM Power (ppc64le) from the September feature channel.

Maximo Application Suite as a serviceExport function in IBM Outage Prediction
The Export function has the following improvements.
  • After you click the Export icon, you can now select the new PDF option, or the CSV option.
  • The export data has more information about weather.
  • The units of measure in the export data equate to the units of measure in the application settings.

Display the ID of an entity that processed a message in Maximo Manage
Providing visibility into which Cron Task or Message Driven Bean processed a message helps prevent incorrect re-processing of already handled messages. For more information, see Show the ID of a consumer that has received or processed a message.
Maximo Application Suite as a service IBM Maximo Vegetation Management
Maximo Vegetation Management is a new SaaS add-on that you can purchase if you already have Maximo Manage. Use the add-on to understand and manage the state of vegetation across your entire service area. For more information, see Managing vegetation.
