What's new in the feature channel for Maximo Manage

Learn more about what's new in the feature channel for nonproduction instances of Maximo Manage.

Maximo Application Suite incrementally delivers updates to provide new feature capabilities to the feature channel. As a customer-managed user, you can use the feature channel to update your nonproduction instances to preview new features.

A feature channel is an update stream designed for nonproduction instances that allows customers to preview new features before they are generally available. It delivers incremental updates with new capabilities, enabling customer-managed users to test and evaluate upcoming functionality. Access to the feature channel is managed through a channel subscription, which controls how updates are applied to nonproduction environments.

You can subscribe to the feature channel by using a channel subscription. For more information, see Upgrading IBM® Maximo Application Suite by using the channel subscription method.

View technician status in the Dispatching dashboard

Optimize your strategic plans in Maximo Asset Investment Planning
Run the optimization to generate and analyze multiple optimized scenarios to identify the most effective intervention strategies. Compare scenarios to determine the optimal levels of annual CapEx and OpEx spending, yearly interventions and replacements, and the projected total lifecycle costs for your investment plan. For more information, see Running the optimization. Further enhancements to the optimization process in Asset Investment Planning include the following:
  • Export optimized scenarios as a CSV file.
  • Favorite optimized scenarios.

Copy a plan in any status to service as a starting point for the creation of a new plan.
IBM Maximo Vegetation Management add-on available
Maximo Vegetation Management is now offered as a add-on for on-premises-customer-managed deployments. You can purchase the add-on if you already have Maximo Manage. The SaaS version of the add-on is already available from the September feature channel. Install and use the add-on to understand and manage the state of vegetation across your entire service area. Enhancement to JMS logging for message traceability

JMS debug logs now include the MEAMSGID when messages are received from queues. By using the MEAMSGID, individual messages in the Message Tracking application are easier to trace. This improves faster resolution of issues and improves monitoring when processing messages.

Enhancement to system information

The operator version number is now displayed with the release date in the system information for Maximo Manage. The latest components information is also provided, which uses the version of all latest components that are known by the operator version. Including this information improves version traceability and helps identify the relevant APAR and the operator version and image in the release notes. You can view system information by selecting Help > System information.
