Shareable PGP keys

When you create a PGP key, you can share it with your trading partners. A shareable PGP public key can be used by more than one trading partner.

Overview

After you create a trading partner association, you can either create a new PGP key or use an existing shareable PGP key to share it with the trading partner. For more information about creating a shareable key, see Creating PGP key pairs.

Note:
  • The PGP key must be deployed in both CTE and production environment at least once before you share it with your trading partner. For more information about handling shareable PGP keys from trading partners by using business alias, see Creating PGP keys within trading partner business aliases.
  • The shareable PGP key feature is applicable for only those PGP keys that you upload. This feature is not applicable for PGP keys that are created by using the system-generated flow. On the PGP key list page, you can view that a shared PGP key displays the shared icon. For more information about what other icons represent, see Accessing and viewing PGP key list page.

You can view the sharing status of a PGP key on the PGP key details page. To know the status, refer to the Key shareability field on the left pane. On clicking See usage, you can view the trading partners that use the shared PGP key along with their SCI IDs on the Trading partners using this PGP key modal.

If you are creating a PGP key for a trading partner association that you created by the company name, see Creating PGP key association within trading partner company.

If you want to delete a PGP key configuration, you must first disassociate the trading partners. For more information, see Disassociating trading partners and PGP keys.
