What you need to know about signing up for IBM Storage Insights: You'll need an IBM ID. It will be your administrator account and single point of access to
IBM Storage
Insights. It's also used by IBM to communicate key updates, announcements, and your unique URL. Ensure that the email address associated with your IBM ID is valid and keep an eye out for important messages from IBM.
If you don't have an IBM ID, don't worry. Getting one is easy. Just complete this short form.
Procedure
If you already have IBM Storage
Insights, or
want to jump straight to IBM Storage
Insights Pro,
complete the following steps:

- Go to IBM Marketplace for Storage Insights.
- Click Purchase now to learn about and purchase a subscription.

- For a 60-day trial of IBM Storage
Insights Pro:
- Select Upgrade to Pro in the top navigation pane of IBM Storage
Insights UI.
- Select Start IBM Storage Insights Pro free trial option and then click
Start 60-day free trial.
- Click Start trial on the pop up.
Free trial starts and the number of
days left for the trial to expire are displayed in the top navigation pane.
After the 60-day
trial ends, IBM Storage
Insights Pro functionality is
disabled and the tenant reverts to the free experience. To upgrade or activate Pro using existing
entitlement, you can go to Upgrade to Pro option from the
Profile menu.

- IBM Storage
Insights Pro access is automatically
provisioned based on the Expert Care Premium entitlement device validation. After successful
validation, a pop-up appears indicating that the validation was successful and your account has been
upgraded. An email is also sent to your registered email address.
Note: IBM Storage
Insights tenant remains in Pro status
until the device entitlement expires, after which it automatically gets downgraded to Free
status.

- Select Upgrade to Pro in the top navigation pane of IBM Storage
Insights UI. You can then select either of the
following options:
- Select Review IBM SI Pro options to explore the IBM Storage
Insights Pro options and then click Learn
about IBM SI Pro entitlement options. It will redirect you to the Frequently Asked
Questions (FAQ) page of IBM Storage
Insights
documentation.
- Select Activate IBM Storage Insights Pro to activate IBM Storage
Insights Pro and then click Submit

Note: If you extend the entitlement before or after expiration and refresh the Maintenance dashboard, then the
Earliest Expiration Date is updated immediately. Otherwise, it may take up to
7 days to refresh.
