- Keep your Client reference number and Case contact number ready.
About this task
Follow the steps below to create a new support case:
Procedure
- Select the Type of support required.
It should include
the category that best matches your issue.
- Enter a Case title.
Use a short and specific
title.
Example:
Request for IBM Spectrum Control license entitlement validation for IBM Storage Insights Pro access
- Select the Product manufacturer.
- Select the Product name.
Example:
IBM Storage Insights
- Set the Severity or business impact.
Choose the
severity level that best reflects the impact on your operations, based on the definitions shown on
the page.

4 - Minimal impact (how-to questions, minor problems)
- Enter the Case description of your
problem.
Example:
Please find the entitlement details below for validation:
Customer Name: ABC Technologies Pvt Ltd
Customer Number: XXXXXXX
Agreement Number: AGR-XXXXXX
Site Number/Site ID: SITE-XXXXX
You can choose your preferred language from
the drop down.
- Select whether you want to receive the Enhanced or Basic email
notifications.
- Enter the Client reference number and Case contact
number.
- Save the Case Template for future use if you want.
- Click Submit case and wait for the confirmation page.
