Configuring local product repositories for Modernized Runtime Extension for Java

If your environment does not have internet access, you can access and configure local repositories that contain the files to install Modernized Runtime Extension for Java (MoRE).

Before you install MoRE using local product repositories, you must download and configure the MoRE repository and the following repositories.
Modernized Runtime Extension for Java

IBM SDK Java Technology Edition, Version 8

To download IBM SDK Java Technology Edition, Version 8, see the IBM SDK Java Technology Edition Version 8.0 for WebSphere Application Server V9 and WebSphere Liberty using Installation Manager IBM Support page.

IBM WebSphere® Application Server Network Deployment, Version 9.0.5.23 or later

To download the WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment Base Image, see Passport Advantage. The part number for the WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment Base Image is CC3P1ML.

IBM Semeru Runtime Certified Edition, Version 17, or Version 21

Configure the local product repository for MoRE

To configure the local repositories for MoRE, complete the following steps.

  1. In Installation Manager, click File > Preferences.
  2. In the Preferences dialog, click Repositories.
  3. Click Add Repositories.
  4. In the Add Repositories dialog, click Browse and select the local MoRE product repository. Then click OK.
  5. Click Apply.
  6. Click OK.

What to do next

After the MoRE repository is added to Installation Manager, stop any WebSphere processes that are running on the server.
