To completely uninstall a model from the database, you
must uninstall all versions of the model.
Before you begin
Before you begin this task, you must log in to the
WebSphere® Application
Server administrative
console.
Note: Administrative privileges are required
to deploy and uninstall all monitor models. In addition to deploying
monitor model applications, other operations that are performed automatically
require administrative privileges. Assign the Administrator role to
the user who deploys and removes monitor model applications.
About this task
To undeploy all versions of a monitor model,
complete the following steps:
Procedure
- From the WebSphere Application
Server administrative
console, click .
- In the Select column, select the check box next to the
applicable model.
- Click Stop.
- Optional: If you want to delete the schema
for this model, perform the following steps. Be aware that if you
delete the schema, the monitor model version is completely purged
from the repository.
- In the Version column, click the appropriate
version.
- Click .
- Repeat steps 4.a and 4.b for all versions of this model.
Note: The Run script to delete the schema during
uninstallation check box is disabled if the database is DB2® z/OS®.
In this case, the delete schema script must be exported and run manually.
- Click . All the deployed applications
are displayed.
- Select the monitor model you want to remove and click Stop.
- In the Select column, select the check boxes next to the
versions of the monitor model you want to remove.
- Click Uninstall.
- To confirm the undeployment, click OK or
click Cancel to cancel the undeployment.
- Click Save.
Results
If you did not delete the schema during this procedure,
the data collected by the uninstalled monitor model version is still
visible to dashboard reporting. The monitor model version information
is still listed on the Monitor Models page, but the Application column
displays a status of Uninstalled. If you want
to remove the data from the dashboard, use the Manage Schema page
to delete the monitor model version schema, and then purge the model
version from the repository. See "Purging a monitor model version".
If
any problems occur when the model version is uninstalled, you see
an Undeployment Error link in the Deployment
column of the Monitor Models page. Click the link to display information
about the error.
