Purging a monitor model version

Purging a monitor model version removes the model version information from the repository database.

Before you begin

Before you can purge a monitor model version, which removes the version from the repository database, you must have undeployed the enterprise application associated with the version, and you must have deleted the schema for the model version. See "Running the delete schema script automatically" for more information about deleting the schema.

You must also log in to the WebSphere® Application Server administrative console.

About this task

When you undeploy a monitor model version but do not select Run script to delete the schema during undeployment, the enterprise application associated with the model version is removed. However, the database schema associated with the model version is not removed, and the version continues to be displayed on the Monitor Models page of the administrative console.

You must delete the database schema and then purge the model version to remove the model version's information from the repository database and to remove it from the Monitor Models page.

Complete the following steps to purge a monitor model version that has been previously deployed on IBM® Business Monitor:

Procedure

  1. In the WebSphere Application Server administrative console, click Applications > Monitor Models.
  2. In the Version column, click the name of the model version that you want to purge.
  3. Under Version Properties, click Purge model version.
  4. To confirm the deletion, click Purge, or click Cancel to cancel the deletion. The purge action removes the selected model version.

Results

If the purge is successful, the model version no longer appears on the Monitor Models page.

If any problems occur when the model version is purged, you see an Undeployment Error link in the Deployment column of the Monitor Models page. Click the link to display information about the error.
