Using the Simplified ESRS Omnibus embedded Power BI report

The Simplified ESRS Omnibus framework includes a specialized embedded Power BI report that is designed to support climate-related disclosures. This report provides direct access to relevant environmental metrics from IBM® ESG Suite and helps you populate disclosure responses with consistent, data-driven information.

About this task

Unlike the standard embedded Power BI report available in many frameworks, the Simplified ESRS Omnibus framework provides a dedicated reporting experience that is focused on climate-related disclosures.

The Simplified ESRS Omnibus embedded Power BI report is available only for questions that are associated with the following disclosure requirements:

  • E1-5 – Actions and resources in relation to climate change mitigation and adaptation
  • E1-6 – Targets related to climate change
  • E1-7 – Energy consumption and mix
  • E1-8 – Gross Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 GHG emissions

When available, the report can be opened directly from the response page and used to review environmental data relevant to the disclosure requirement being completed.

The report is embedded within the Sustainability Reporting Manager response and remains associated with that response so that contributors, reviewers, approvers, and other authorized users see the same report configuration.

Procedure

  1. From the Sustainability Reporting Manager home page, open a Simplified ESRS Omnibus disclosure.
  2. Navigate to a question that belongs to one of the supported disclosure requirements.
  3. Click the Power Reports icon in the response header.
    Alternatively, open the side panel and select Calculated Metrics.
    The report takes a few moments to load.

Results

You can use the report to:

  • Review climate-related metrics sourced from Envizi ESG Suite.
  • Analyze energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions data.
  • Support responses to ESRS climate disclosures with consistent quantitative information.
  • Copy relevant values from the report into your disclosure responses where appropriate.

The report is designed specifically for Simplified ESRS Omnibus climate reporting and may differ from the standard embedded Power BI report available in other frameworks.

Important:
  • The Simplified ESRS Omnibus embedded Power BI report is available only for supported E1 disclosure requirements.
  • Each response can contain only one embedded Power BI report instance.
  • Reports are available only within Sustainability Reporting Manager and cannot be exported from the application.
  • Changes made to the report configuration are saved with the response and are visible to users with appropriate permissions.
