Classifying audits and surveys

Classify an audit or a survey by linking it to a predefined classification. The addition of classification details to an audit or a survey makes it simpler to manage audits and surveys in accordance with plant and industry standards.

Before you begin

A classification must exist that is set up for use with audits or surveys.

About this task

You classify an audit or a survey by using the Classification field. This field is available on both the Audit and Survey and Specifications tabs of the audit and survey record.

If the classification belongs to a hierarchy, the associated classification path is shown in the Classification field, from the top-level node in the hierarchy down to the selected node. In addition, any attributes that belong to the selected classification are added to the Specifications table.

1. In the Audit and Survey application, open the audit and survey record that you want to classify.
2. On the Audit and Survey tab or the Specifications tab, click Detail Menu on the Classification field and then select an option to retrieve the essential classification.
3. Save the record.
