Online Editing

Online editing of a contract involves making changes to the contract in the Contract Editor or Word Editor.

Definition

Online editing is adding content, modifying existing content, deleting content, making formatting changes, and modifying properties of a contract either by using the Contract Editor or Word Editor.

Note: If you are using the application on the Apple Mac OS operating system, you cannot edit the contract in an online mode by using Microsoft Word. To edit the contract language, you must check out the contract and then open it in Word.

Permissions

You can edit contracts online if you hold the lock to the contracts, and if you have the appropriate permissions.

Contract status

You can edit a contract online when a contract is in one of the following states:

  • Draft
  • In Negotiation
