Opening Contracts in the Word Editor
You can open contracts in the Word Editor after you have opened them in the Contract Editor.
Before you begin
To open contracts in the Word Editor, the following criteria must be met:
- Microsoft Word 2007, 2010, or 2013 must be configured on the system.
- You must install the Word Authoring Tool on your machine. For information about installing the Word Authoring Tool, see Installing the Contract Authoring Tool.
- You must have the Word Editor > Open permission.

Procedure
To open a contract in the Word Editor, complete the following steps:
- Open a contract in the Contract Editor.
- Click the
icon. In the Mozilla Firefox browser, a window might open with the Prevent this page
from creating additional dialogs message. Ensure to click
Cancel for this message to save or revert changes in the Word
Editor.
Results
When you open the contract in the Word Editor, the Contract Editor tabs are available only in the read-only mode. The changes you make to the contract in the Word Editor are reflected in the Contract Editor when you close the Word document. You may have to refresh the Language tab to view the changes.
