IBM BPM on Cloud Process Portal FAQs

Use Process Portal to work on your assigned tasks and collaborate with others to complete your work efficiently. If you have the appropriate authorization, you can work with process instances, or use dashboards to view and review the performance of individuals, teams, and processes.

Important: IBM® BPM on Cloud components and the functions that they provide are based on the IBM BPM on premises product. Is Process Portal available in both editions of IBM BPM on Cloud?

Yes, it's available in both IBM BPM on Cloud and IBM BPM on Cloud Express.

Do I need additional authorization?

You don't need additional authorization to work on your tasks and collaborate with others. However, you do need additional authorization to use the Processes, Process Performance, and Team Performance dashboards. For more information, see Dashboards in Process Portal.

How can I work with my tasks?

The Work dashboard contains the list of tasks that you own. It also includes the tasks that are assigned to your team that you can claim to work on. Open a task to claim it and complete the work that is needed. For more information, see Completing work on tasks with Process Portal.

How can I manage teams and their tasks?

If you are a team manager, you can manage the work of the teams that you are responsible for from the Team Performance dashboard in Process Portal. For more information, see Managing work for teams with the Team Performance dashboard.

How can I work with processes?

If you have the appropriate authorization, you can see lists of active and completed process instances in the Processes dashboard. If you are a member of the Process Owner team, you can also use the Process Performance dashboard to resolve issues with process instances that are at risk or overdue.
