Completing work on process instances with Process Portal
You start process instances from the Launch section in the navigation pane. Depending on the type of process, work continues automatically from one task to the next, or documents and activities are completed for the work to be completed.
The Processes dashboard displays lists of active and completed process instances. You can enter search filters to reduce the number of process instances in the list. To see more information about an instance, click the instance name.
Section | Description |

Data | Shows the business data for the instance. In the ready-to-use interface, you cannot update the data that is shown here. |
Documents | Displays a list of documents and folders that
are associated with the process instance. From here you can view,
add, or delete folders, check documents in and out, and view, add,
or delete documents. Attention: Some process instances
do not have a Documents section.

Tasks | Displays a list of the tasks that belong to the process instance that are either open or completed. Authorized users can work on a task by clicking a task name. |
Instance summary | Provides a summary of the progress of the process
instance. The section contains the following information:

Activities | Displays process instance activities that are scheduled, in progress, or completed. Attention: Some process instances do not have activities. In that situation, the
activities list is empty.

The contents of the process instance page are refreshed automatically after a certain length of time. You can also use the Refresh icon to get the latest updates. If you have the appropriate authorization, you can go directly to the Gantt chart to resolve issues with the process instance. For more information, see The Gantt chart.
