I'd like to highlight a demo we published onto the Service Registry YouTube channel recently, which shows off the Service Consumption Visualizer widget. What does this widget do?
In WebSphere Service Registry and Repository, you model the contract between a service providing some function, and a service which uses the function via a Service Level Agreement. Services can have various versions as well. The visualizer widget shows you for a particular service, which services it is using, and which services are using it, for each version of the service. This allows you to see if shutting down that logging service is really such a good idea, when you find that 10 other services are relying on it.
The video was recorded in High Definition 1280p, so break out to full screen mode or a pop out window if you want to see it in full quality.
