Several factors can cause this error, but often it is related to the operating system you previously had installed on your server or logical partition. Based on my experience, I get this error when I try to install Linux on a server that had been running the AIX OS. To correct this error and move on with your installation, simply issue the following commands. dev nvram wipe –nvram The boot process resumes, and the error is resolved.
