What:
IBM System Storage TS3310 Tape Library Update & Demo.
If you haven’t looked at the IBM System Storage TS3310 Tape Library lately then you’re in for a pleasant surprise as this little library is now all grown up. The TS3310 remains true to its roots being very flexible in that you can start small with 2 drives and 41 cartridges and yet grow it to 18 drives and 409 cartridges. With LTO6 drives installed you can watch it grow from 102 TBs to over 1 PB of native capacity.
The TS3310 boasts a modular, stackable growth design with capacity on demand, ALMS like logical library flexibility, redundant power, a CLI interface, up to 54 I/O slots, optional CP/DP failover capability, and new advanced function reporting capability that now supports the tape system reporter (TSR) just like its big brother the TS3500.
