Abstract
Ceph Object Gateway, also known as RADOS Gateway (RGW), is an object storage interface built on top of the librados library to provide applications with a RESTful gateway to Ceph storage clusters. The leading interface for the Ceph Object Gateway is S3, which provides object storage functionality with an interface that is compatible with a large subset of the Amazon S3 RESTful API.
Join the Advanced Technology Group for a closer look at IBM Storage Ceph and S3 object storage, with emphasis on day 2 operations and advanced features. Topics covered will include bucket replication, Ceph object archive zone, S3 Object Lock immutability, S3 select for AI/ML use cases, and cloud transitions. This session goes into an intermediate level focused on IBM Storage Ceph deployment and control of the RADOS Gateway and S3 object storage services.
