You can now query a Cloudant database faster and cheaper with IBM Cloudant partition queries.

IBM Cloudant partition queries is a new generally available query type that costs up to 20x less and significantly improves response time over global queries. Cloudant databases that have partitioning enabled will require a partition key for every document, where a partition is a logical grouping of documents. You can query a partitioned database with a partition key using the primary index, or use MapReduce view, search, or Cloudant Query indexes. See the database partitioning documentation for more details on how to leverage this feature and what makes a good partition key in IBM Cloudant.
