We’re excited to announce we were recognized as a Customers’ Choice again this year for Master Data Management solutions. We believe this is a testament to how much we strive to deliver a robust and flexible master data management solution that creates trusted master data views to help improve operational business processes and analytics.

The “Voice of the Customer” is a document that synthesizes Gartner Peer Insights’ reviews into insights for IT decision makers. This aggregated peer perspective, along with the individual detailed reviews, is complementary to Gartner expert research and can play a key role in your buying process, as it focuses on direct peer experiences of implementing and operating a solution.1

InfoSphere Master Data Management can help clients realize a more robust and accurate 360-degree view of the most important domains in their business such as people, organizations, accounts, and so on. Its capabilities promote optimized performance and scalability to handle the demands of always-on enterprises.

“MDM is fantastic tool to manage company customer information and we are using to manage the insurance customer and different products of insurance. It provides reports and dashboards for analysis. Also it has self-service access to manage users.”

Recent enhancements help organizations to:

  • Accelerate task resolution decisions with machine-learning assisted stewardship
  • Support compliance with consent requirements of privacy regulations
  • Accelerate deployment with Red Hat® Certified Container support for Red Hat OpenShift®

IBM InfoSphere Master Data Management 12 also includes updates to the associated products:

  • IBM Master Data Management Cartridge for IBM Cloud Pak® for Data (previously named IBM Master Data Management Extension for IBM Cloud Pak for Data)
  • IBM Master Data Management Modernization

We’re also excited to announce that a new entity resolution service, IBM Match 360 with Watson, is now available as a base service on IBM Cloud Pak® for Data. Match 360 provides a machine learning-based, easy-to-use, quick experience for self-service entity resolution. It is a no-code service providing the ability for non-developers to plug it into their data prep routine to match and link person and organization data to create that complete version of the truth, helping to improve overall data quality. Unlike competitive matching solutions, Match 360 with Watson is deeply integrated with Cloud Pak for Data services such as Watson Knowledge Catalog and can easily leverage InfoSphere® Master Data Management data model and entities.

The history of the central processing unit (CPU)

10 min read - The central processing unit (CPU) is the computer’s brain. It handles the assignment and processing of tasks, in addition to functions that make a computer run. There’s no way to overstate the importance of the CPU to computing. Virtually all computer systems contain, at the least, some type of basic CPU. Regardless of whether they’re used in personal computers (PCs), laptops, tablets, smartphones or even in supercomputers whose output is so strong it must be measured in floating-point operations per…
