Databases for Redis 5 is Available in Preview

Redis 5 is now available in Preview on Databases for Redis. This release has lots of interesting new features, but the most important is the introduction of Redis Streams.

Redis Labs describes this enhancement as a “log-like data structure that allows you to store multiple fields and string values with an automatic, time-based sequence at a single key.” You can learn more by reading the Redis Labs blog “Redis 5.0 is here!“

Databases for Redis 5 will remain in preview until after November 10th, 2019, after which it will become the preferred version at our discretion. Head on over to the IBM Cloud Catalog to get going with Databases for Redis.
