Removing fix packs

You can remove a WSRR fix pack by using the rollback option in IBM® Installation Manager.

About this task

When you roll back a fix pack, the fix pack is removed, and you revert to the previously installed version of WSRR.

Procedure

Complete the following steps to remove a fix pack:

  1. Start IBM Installation Manager, by completing the following step depending on your platform:
    • For Windows operating systemOn Windows platforms: Click Start > All Programs > IBM Installation Manager > IBM Installation Manager.
    • For Linux operating systemFor Unix operating systemOn Linux and UNIX platforms: Run im_install/IBMIM, where im_install is the installation manager installation directory, which is /opt/IBM/InstallationManager/eclipse by default.
  2. Click Roll Back.
  3. Select the WebSphere® Application Server package group into which WSRR is installed, and click Next.
  4. Select the fix pack that you want to remove, and click Next.
  5. Review the details on the Roll Back Packages summary window, and click Roll Back.
  6. When the rollback process is completed, click Finish.
