Installing fix packs

You install a fix pack for WSRR by using IBM® Installation Manager.

About this task

Use the Update option in Installation Manager to update to the latest fix pack. You can also update silently, by running a script that uses Installation Manager commands.

Note:

If you do not have a previous version of WSRR installed, you can install WSRR directly to the latest fix pack level provided you have the DVD image of the installation available. To do this, use the Install option in IBM Installation Manager. For more information, see Installing the software.
It is recommended that you take a backup of your WSRR database before and after you have applied the fix pack.
