Post-installation tasks for administrators on Linux and UNIX systems
are required to configure ClearQuest® server
and client components hosted on these platforms.
Depending on which ClearQuest components
are installed and configured, Linux and UNIX systems can provide these ClearQuest services:
- Administer and run the ClearQuest Web
server and web application to provide access to Rational® ClearQuest repositories through a web-based
interface.
- Administer a Rational ClearQuest MultiSite environment.
- Provide access to the Rational ClearQuest Client for users
who work solely on Linux and UNIX system platforms.
- Integrate with Rational ClearCase®, both base and UCM
versions.
On
a Linux or UNIX host, you can administer only
Rational ClearQuest MultiSite and
Rational ClearQuest Web
server and web application. You must administer other ClearQuest components such as ClearQuest Administrative
Tools and the ClearQuest Designer
from the Windows administrative
host.
Depending on ClearQuest services
that the Linux or UNIX host is providing, complete the tasks in Table 1.
