Installing Jazz for Service Management
The Jazz™ for Service Management installation supports different installation scenarios, user types, installation modes, and server topologies depending on your organization's needs and target server environments.
You can use either a launchpad or IBM® Installation Manager to install and configure Jazz for Service Management. You can install and configure one or more integration services on one or more servers. You can optionally install IBM DB2® and IBM WebSphere® Application Server.
The installation configures Jazz for Service Management for basic authentication and SSL communications by default.

You can perform a full installation to install Jazz for Service Management and its middleware on a single server. - Custom installations by using launchpad custom workflow
Jazz for Service Management supports custom workflow scenario, which allows you to install and update one or more Jazz for Service Management integration services, its middleware in the same flow on a single server only. - Custom installations by using Installation Manager
You can perform a custom installation on one, two, three, or four servers by starting the Installation Manager either from the launchpad or by using Installation Manager in GUI mode, if you do not have a browser on the target machine. - Custom installations by using silent mode
You can install Jazz for Service Management silently by using Installation Manager in silent installation mode. Choose the silent mode, if your target system does not have a browser that is installed or a graphical environment, and you want to install all integration services. The silent mode uses a response file to automate the installation process without any user intervention. - Custom installations for FIPS enablement
You can perform a custom installations to install Jazz for Service Management and configure its middleware for Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS). - Custom installations to support business policies
