Error description

When attempting to override a scoped SSL
configuration in which the SSL configuration contains a keystore
and trusstore that has only a signer certificate and no
personal certificate, the following error surfaces on the admin
console:

Validation failed: ADMF0002E: Required parameter
certificateAlias is not found for command createSSLConfigGroup.
----

The administrative console path for setting a server level
scoped SSL configuration would be:

----
SSL certificate and key management > Manage endpoint security
configurations > server1

Specific SSL configuration for this endpoint
Override inherited values  = checked
SSL configuration = BBOS001_SSLConfig
Certificate alias in key store = none

The error occurs after clicking Apply.

The createSSLConfigGroup task required certificateAlias
parameter, when modifySSLConfigGroup does not. This breaks a
use case on z/OS, where it is valid to configure outbound SSL
configuration where the certificateAlias should be none.

Problem conclusion

The createSSLConfigGroup task was changed so that the
certificateAlias parameter is now optional. This is inline
with the existing behaviour of modifySSLConfigGroup.

APAR PM13298 is currently targeted for inclusion in Service
Level (Fix Pack) 7.0.0.13 of WebSphere Application Server V7.0.
