Software Developer

Our software developers/engineers are responsible for the complete life cycle of a software product –

  • Research and design,
  • Implementation and testing,
  • Training and support.

In this Graduate position you will work at the heart of IBM's software innovation and you could play a key role in many world-shaping, ground breaking technologies.

We will encourage you to have contact with IBM sales teams and customers, both in the Lab as well as on customer sites, to understand the needs of our clients as well as assisting IBM’s post sales teams – all of which will contribute to your own development as an engineer/developer.

As well as your day job your team will support and encourage you to take part in various projects, hackathons etc where you will be able to network within the business and also learn and improve your skills.

Technology Specialist

As a Graduate Technology Specialist, you will combine cutting edge methodologies and knowledge of the industry with the latest technologies such as Cognitive Systems, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, Blockchain and many more.

You’ll be responsible for interpreting the clients’ needs to develop working prototypes and proof of concepts. You will code, test and architect critical business systems and applications. Ultimately you will create genuine technical solutions addressing real client challenges.

IBM’s online testing will include a Cognitive Ability Game, to assess your problem solving skills, and a Learning Agility Assessment, which looks at your way of learning.

Assessments will be timed.

The application form will focus on competency based questions and will ask you to provide a personal statement.

IBM Assessment Centres will typically require candidates to complete two group exercises, one being based on logical reasoning and the other being on based on discussion.

Candidates will also have an interview.
