Manish Goyal is a Vice President and Senior Partner at IBM Consulting, where he leads Technology Transformation globally. His work spans Data and AI strategy, governance and adoption, alongside the application and platform modernization that makes AI work at scale.
Manish helps clients scale AI and modernize their technology platforms. He draws on IBM's own transformation—which generated $4.5B in productivity gains by reimagining how hundreds of thousands of colleagues work—as a model for how organizations change the way they operate. As a member of IBM's Responsible Technology Board, he also helps set the guardrails for how IBM builds and deploys AI.
Manish came to consulting from the other side of the table, having built and launched products at Siemens, Bell Labs, Lucent Technologies and IBM before advising Fortune 100 clients. That product background shapes his view that the hard part of transformation is rarely the build—it's getting an organization to change how it works. He helped drive IBM Consulting's own internal transformation, giving clients the same playbooks—and scar tissue—from running it on itself first. His expertise includes data and AI strategy, AI governance and adoption, application and platform modernization, and agentic systems.
MBA, NYU Stern; B.S. in Computer Science, Pune University
Manish speaks frequently at Gartner, eMerge Americas and partner events and writes on AI strategy and responsible deployment of agentic systems. Outside of work, he coaches high school students in competitive robotics through FIRST.
