Subscribing
From My Notifications
There are two ways to find a product in My Notifications. You can search for the product or browse a list of all products.
Product lookup
Use the Product lookup option at the top of the My Notifications page to search for an IBM product.
- Navigate to the Product Notifications tab.
- Enter all or part of the product name in the Product lookup entry field.
- After you have typed at least three characters, the search will automatically begin and display matching products below the entry field. Continue typing to further refine the results.
- Select the Subscribe link to subscribe to product Notifications.
Note: If the product offers a variety of document types, a popup window will be displayed.
- Check/uncheck each document type as desired.
- Select the Submit button to save your changes and complete you subscription.
Browsing for a product
Use the Browse for a product link at the top of the My Notifications page to step through a product tree and locate a product.
- Navigate to the Product Notifications tab.
- Select the Browse for a product link.
- Select the Subscribe to all link to subscribe to all product notifications within a family of products.
- Select the Expand/Collapse icon + to expand sections of the product list.
- Select the Subscribe link to subscribe to product notifications.
Note: If the product offers a variety of document types, a popup window will be displayed.
- Check/uncheck each document type as desired.
- Select the Submit button to save your changes and complete you subscription.
From other sites
From Support Portal
- Go to Support Portal.
- Select a product.
Note: Please reference Support Portal Site assistance for instructions on how to select a product within Support Portal.
- Select the Subscribe to support notifications link within the Tools and resources module.
Modifying subscriptions
Edit subscription settings
- Navigate to the Product Notifications tab.
- From within the Document types column in the Product subscriptions table, select the Edit link associated with the applicable product.
- Check/uncheck each document type as desired.
- Select the Submit button to save your changes.
Unsubscribing
- Navigate to the Product Notifications tab.
- From within the Document types column in the Product subscriptions table, select the Unsubscribe link.
Alternatively, locate any product or product family in the Product finder or Browse for a product listings, then select the Unsubscribe link.
- Confirm your request by selecting Yes in the popup window.
Getting the Notifications
Setting up delivery preferences
Delivery preferences are applicable to every current and future subscription, including: product notifications, Call Home events notifications, APAR notifications, and IBM electronic service notifications.
- Navigate to the Product Notifications tab.
- Select the Delivery preferences link at the top of the page or above the Product subscriptions table.
- Make the desired selections for email delivery, email frequency, email format, mobile notifications, and machine translation of notifications.
- Select the Submit button to save your changes.
Setting up RSS feeds
- Navigate to the Product Notifications tab.
- From within the RSS/Atom feeds column in the Product subscriptions table, select the Links link associated with the applicable product.
- Use the URLs for your selected product or a single URL for all of your products to configure your RSS and Atom feed readers.
Finding on My Notifications site
- Navigate to the Product Notifications tab.
- From within the Notifications column in the Product subscriptions table, select the View link associated with the applicable product.
- Each notification is listed in date order.
- Select the notification title to view the notification.
Filtering
The listing of notifications may be filtered by document type.
- Select a document type from the Filter by document type dropdown: the listing of notifications will be filtered.
- To return to the listing of all notifications, select All document types from the dropdown.
Sorting
Each column of the listing may be sorted.
- Select the desired column heading: the listing will be sorted in ascending order.
- Select the same column heading again: the listing will be sorted in descending order.
- Select the same column heading a third time: the listing will return to the default sort order.
