Troubleshooting

Problem

Using the Text Output Control to display the Date Value.

The Date Value doesn’t have time portion included in it.

For e.g., Value is 08/19/2017

The Conversion property -> Converter -> Formatted Date Time is set with Default values [Time Displayed set to ]

This setting works good in MWS v9.7.

In v9.12 it throws the following exception while rendering the portlet:

"(jsf:INFO) [qtp1644698954-152] [RID:76] - java.text.ParseException: Unparseable date: "08/19/2017"

at com.webmethods.caf.faces.render.BaseRenderer.getStringValue(BaseRenderer.java:116)

at com.webmethods.caf.faces.render.html.output.BaseHtmlOutputRenderer.writeValue(BaseHtmlOutputRenderer.java:101)

at com.webmethods.caf.faces.render.html.output.BaseHtmlOutputRenderer.encodeEnd(BaseHtmlOutputRenderer.java:43)

at javax.faces.component.UIComponentBase.encodeEnd(UIComponentBase.java:919)

at javax.faces.component.UIComponent.encodeAll(UIComponent.java:1863)

at javax.faces.component.UIComponent.encodeAll(UIComponent.java:1859)

at com.webmethods.caf.faces.view.CafViewDeclarationLanguage.renderView(CafViewDeclarationLanguage.java:214)"

Able to resolve the exception by setting Time Displayed as false for the Formatted Date Time.

Is there a change in MWS that validates whether Time Value is included?
