As per KC doc https://www.ibm.com/products/db2/pricing, Db2 Standard Plan will provide Up to 16 Cores & 128 GB RAM and Db2 Advanced Plan provide Unlimited Cores and RAM. For using Db2 Advanced Plan additional licensing is needed.

Without procuring additional licenses we can use bundled “Db2 Standard Edition + Db2 OEM High Capacity”

There were packaging changes that were made in Db2 over the versions - Db2 Standard Edition (SE), Db2 Enterprise Server Edition (ESE) and Db2 Advanced Edition (AE)

Db2 Enterprise Server Edition (ESE) and Db2 Advanced Edition (AE) are independent editions. But Db2 Standard Edition (SE) packs all features of Db2 ESE and more. However, has capacity restrictions of up to 16 cores and 128 GB memory per virtual server or unpartitioned physical server. 

For Sterling OMS lower versions, we were bundling Db2 ESE while v10 bundles Db2 SE, the switch over should only require you to relicense with Db2 SE once you’re on v11.5 - https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/db2/11.5?topic=installation-updating-licenses.

Now, to cover from the CPU and memory perspective, we also bundled Db2 OEM High Capacity with OMS v10. This add-on is simply a license add-on and used to remove capacity and feature restrictions of the bundled Db2 SE. You should see entitlements for the add-on part in PA. We confirm that using the bundled Db2 Standard Edition + Db2 OEM High Capacity add-on will remove capacity and feature restrictions of the bundled Db2 Standard Edition in OMS. (Technically, this will be similar running Db2 Advanced Edition). This will be a like-for-like upgrade from Db2 10.5 to 11.5 from CPU and memory perspective.

The Db2 OEM High Capacity add-on license notes the removal of capacity and feature restrictions of the bundled Db2 Standard Edition. Also do note that the add-on can only be used for scenarios where Db2 Standard Edition is bundled as a Supporting Program in other IBM programs, in this case OMS v10.
