Updated OpenSSL libraries

IBM Workload Scheduler V10.1 Fix Pack 6 has been updated with OpenSSL libraries version to 1.1.1.25 (means 1.1.1zb).

OpenJDK Runtime Environment

IBM Workload SchedulerV10.1 Fix Pack 6 has been updated with OpenJDK "11.0.26+4" 2025-01-21.

OpenJ9

IBM Workload Scheduler V10.1 Fix Pack 6 has been updated with OpenJ9 0.49.0.

GSKit

IBM Workload Scheduler 10.1 Fix Pack 6 has been updated with GSKit "8.0.60.4" 2024-11-20.

Updated JDBC drivers

PeopleSoft PeopleTools

IBM Workload Scheduler V10.1 Fix Pack 6 has been tested with PeopleSoft PeopleTools 8.61.

SAP Remote Function Call

IBM Workload Scheduler V10.1 Fix Pack 6 has been tested with SAP RFC 7.50 Patch Level 15.

IBM Semeru Runtimes

IBM Workload Scheduler V10.1 Fix Pack 6 has been tested with IBM Semeru Runtime Open Edition 11.0.22.0.

Resolved Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE)

Known limitations and workarounds

The following are software limitations and workarounds that affect Dynamic Workload Console version 10.1.0 Fix Pack 6.

Enable Periodic Refresh value is not displayed for workstations in Monitor Workload page when using Google Chrome.

When editing a workstation query in Monitor Workload page, the Enable Periodic Refresh value is not displayed if you are using Google Chrome.

Workaround

To avoid the issue, you can perform the following workaround:

1. Open the Monitor Workload page and select Workstation from the drop down menu.
2. Click the Run button.
3. Enable the automatic refresh of the results by clicking on the Set auto-refresh button.
4. Specify a time for the refresh, and then click the Continue button.

Issue when restarting the POD on a Kubernetes-based environment.

When restarting the Dynamic Workload Console POD on a Kubernetes-based environment, an issue occurs and the Dynamic Workload Console url cannot be reached anymore.

Workaround

To overcome the issue, perform the following steps:

1. Delete the PVC by running the command below:

   kubectl delete pvc data-<releasename>-waconsole-<releasename>-waconsole-0 -n <namespace>

2. Delete the POD by running the command below:

   kubectl delete pod <releasename>-waconsole-0 -n <namespace>

You can completely avoid the issue by using a version of the Dynamic Workload Console that is at least 10.2.2.

Installing the Fix Pack

This section describes how to apply Fix Pack 6 to Dynamic Workload Console.

Installation Notes

Read this section thoroughly before installing this Fix Pack.

• Before installing the Fix Pack, ensure you have installed the required prerequisite software. To obtain the latest information about software requirements for IBM Workload Scheduler, run the Detailed Software Requirements report and browse to the relevant section.

• Supported WebSphere Application Server Liberty Base versions

  The formal test phase was performed using WebSphere® Liberty 25.0.0.4.

• On UNIX systems only: Before installing either the Dynamic Workload Console version 9.5 or this Fix Pack, make sure that umask is set to 022. To verify that umask is set to the correct value, from a command prompt, run the umask command. If the value is different from 022, modify it by running the command:

  umask 022

Interoperability notes

Dynamic Workload Console V10.1 Fix Pack 6 supports all product versions indicated in the Dynamic Workload Console version 10.1 Release Notes which can be accessed at the following link: Dynamic Workload Console Version 10.1 Release Notes.

Installation methods

When you install the Fix Pack, the installation path varies depending on the version level you have currently installed:

• You can install directly the Dynamic Workload Console General Availability version 10.1 together with the latest fix pack level, as described in Installing from the CLI.
• You can update the Dynamic Workload Console from General Availability version 10.1 to the latest fix pack level, as described in Updating the Dynamic Workload Console to the latest Fix Pack level.

If necessary, you can also return to a previous product version level, as described in Returning the Dynamic Workload Console to a previous product version level.

Disk space requirements

Before starting the Fix Pack installation, ensure that you have the following space available in the file system. The values indicated in the table show the disk space required by the Dynamic Workload Console alone. For the disk space required by other components, see the relevant documentation.

To obtain the latest information about permanent disk space requirements when installing IBM Workload Scheduler on supported operating systems, run the Hardware requirements report and click on the relevant operating system link

Note: In addition to the above disk space, the installation requires further 579 MB on /usr file system.

If the installation fails because of lack of free disk space, you must stop the installation, free space on your disk, and start the installation again.

Any additions or changes to the documentation as a result of this Fix Pack have been integrated into the online product documentation available in IBM Knowledge Center.
