APAR Error Description / Circumvention

ICC does not correctly return error status when the number of
parts being copied to cloud exceeds maximum number of allowed
parts. Most often caused by an insufficiently large part size
for the file being transferred.

CORRECTION FOR APAR SE76512 :
-----------------------------
This PTF fixes the bug, so that ICC correctly fails with a
connection error and reason code 11, Object being uploaded
exceeds the maximum number of parts that can be uploaded.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUPERSEDED PTF SI76887 :
=================================================

When upgrading IBM Cloud Storage Solutions for i from version v1r1,
without any application PTFs applied, to version v1r2, journaling needs
to be started for 2 new files. When the files are not journaled, an
error message displays when creating an Amazon Simple Storage Service
or an IBM Cloud Object Storage resource definition.

After completing the upgrade to v1r2, execute the following command on
the IBM i server:

STRJRNPF FILE(QUSRICC/*ALL) JRN(QUSRICC/QICCJRN) OMTJRNE(*OPNCLO)
IMAGES(*BOTH)


IBM i 7.1 and the Transport Layer Security:

Cloud Storage Solutions installed on IBM i version 7.1.0 uses Transport
Layer Security version 1.0 (TLS 1.0) when connecting to SoftLayer or
the IBM Cloud Object Storage provider. However, these storage providers
only support higher versions of TLS.

Update the QSSLPCL (Secure Sockets Layer Protocols) system value to
enable TLS versions 1.2 and 1.1. This update only applies to IBM V7R1M0
and does not apply to IBM V7R2M0 or V7R3M0. This command may be used to
update the system value:

CHGSYSVAL SYSVAL(QSSLPCL) VALUE('*TLSV1.2 *TLSV1.1')
