APAR Error Description / Circumvention

-----------------------------------------------
Users accessing IBM i NetServer could no longer access the
server when there were a large number of sessions active.  When
an attempt was made to end NetServer the QZLSFILET job started
generating problem logs and NetServer wouldn't end.  MSGCPF93B5
(Added a symptom to the symptom string that was not valid.) with
a return code of X'B2' was sent to the job log for each problem
log that was generated.  The symptom string for the problem logs
contained 5770 SP/QPWFSMONOC.

In order to recover the system an IPL was performed.

CORRECTION FOR APAR SE72848 :
-----------------------------
In some circumstances an internal structure is not being managed
correctly causing a large number of problem logs and preventing
NetServer from ending in a timely fashion.  The PTF corrects the
problem so that the structure is managed correctly and the large
number of problem logs are no longer generated when ending
NetServer.

This PTF also corrects the problem with creating the problem log
for this error to not send MSGCPF93B5.

CIRCUMVENTION FOR APAR SE72848 :
--------------------------------
None.

Activation Instructions

This PTF contains objects that are activated only at IPL time.
Therefore, if this PTF is applied as an immediate PTF, you must
perform an IPL of the system to activate the PTF. Applying the
PTF as an immediate PTF will ensure that the PTF becomes active
even after an abnormal IPL where delayed PTFs are not applied.

If the PTF is applied as a delayed PTF, no further action is
necessary.

Special Instructions

None.

Default Instructions

THIS PTF CAN BE APPLIED IMMEDIATE OR DELAYED.
