Application of this PTF may disable or render ineffective programs that
use system memory addresses not generated by the IBM translator,
including programs that circumvent control technology designed to limit
interactive capacity to purchased levels. This PTF may be a prerequisite
for future PTFs. By applying this PTF you authorize and agree to the
foregoing.
This PTF is subject to the terms of the license agreement which
accompanied, or was contained in, the Program for which you are obtaining
the PTF. You are not authorized to install or use the PTF except as part
of a Program for which you have a valid Proof of Entitlement.

APAR Error Description / Circumvention

It is important to keep all systems in a BRMS network at the
same level of BRMS PTFs.
Fixes included in this PTF may reference enhancements. More
information on these enhancements can be found on the BRMS web
page:

Fixes in this PTF:
1.In 7.2 and later, WRKMEDIBRM with VOL() parameter for a
specific volume does not show any saved items.
2.In 7.2 and later, the BRMS GUI web is not working with
EIM/SSO.
3.In 7.2 and later, the BRM log information has been enhanced to
use the system timestamp to preserve message order when messages
logged at the same second are displayed using DSPLOGBRM.
4.In 7.2 and later, PRTMEDBRM TYPE(*STATISTICS) may fail with
MSGMCH1210.
5.In 7.2 and later, BRMS has been enhanced to support the new
3592-60F tape drive with new *FMT3592A6 and FMT3592A6E
densities.
6.In 7.2 and later, BRMS GUI Web fails with MSGBRM3C4B after
updating the Backup policy properties.
7.In 7.2 and later, IFS files greater than 4GB are not being
archived.
8.In 7.2 and later, BRMS has been enhanced to create an *OBJ
list named QALLSPLF to backup all spooled files.
9.In 7.2 and later, BRMS has enhanced the cloud turnkey solution
to allow customers to create their own disaster recovery turnkey
control groups.
10.In 7.2 and later, BRMS has enhanced the green screen to
change the GUI only control group attributes for TCP/IP servers,
Unmount user-defined file systems, and Run maintenance after
backup.
11.In 7.2 and later, SAVLIBBRM command default for Journaled
objects has been changed to OBJJRN(*YES).
12.In 7.2 and later, some BRMS programs that adopt authority are
using unqualified library programs calls.
13.In 7.2 and later, WRKSPLFBRM is not listing all the spooled
files that were successfully backed up.
14.In 7.2 and later, STRBKUBRM prompt for the Control group
parameter may return blank choices.
15.In 7.2 and later, DSPLOGBRM 'Position to date' selection does
not refresh the display when a new date is entered. Note: After
applying this PTF, STRMNTBRM needs to be run before using
DSPLOGBRM.
CORRECTION FOR APAR 'SE70312' :

Note: ending the http admin servers may affect other non-BRMS
users.
From System i:
1. Enter the command to end the http admin servers:
ENDTCPSVR SERVER(*HTTP) HTTPSVR(*ADMIN)
2. Wait for the http admin server jobs to end or terminate
them.
Use command: WRKACTJOB SBS(QHTTPSVR)
3. Restart the http admin servers:
STRTCPSVR SERVER(*HTTP) HTTPSVR(*ADMIN)

Enable the BRMS plug-in for System i Navigator Windows/OS
client.
1) Close the System i Navigator application.
2) Open a Windows Command Prompt screen.
3) Enter the following command:
cwbinplg /REMOVE=IBM.BRMSPlugin
4) On the client/PC, start the iSeries Navigator.
5) Use the System i Navigator "Install Options->Install
Plug-in"
action. This action is available from the main System i
Navigator "File" menu and the "My Connections" folder
context/pop-up menu. When prompted for the iSeries system
to install from, select the iSeries that has the new BRMS
PTF installed.
