APAR Error Description / Circumvention

-------------------------------------------------
Indexer parameter parsing errors need better logging.

Procedure named readFile issues message MCH3601 when reading an
input file with a record length greater than 379 bytes.

CORRECTION FOR APAR 'SE70080' :
-------------------------------
Error logging for indexer parameter parsing has been enhanced.

Issuing the Add Report (ADDRPTOND) command with keyword
INPUT(*FILE) with an input file that has a record length greater
than 379 bytes might result in message MCH3601 - Pointer not set
for location referenced. The record length of the input file
should be between 2 - 379 bytes. A warning message is now
issued, but the report will load. All data beyond byte 379 of
each input record is truncated.

CIRCUMVENTION FOR APAR 'SE70080' :
----------------------------------
None.

DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM FIXED FOR APAR 'SE70059' :
-------------------------------------------------
The Add Report (ADDRPTOND) command hangs after an indexing
failure.  Many spooled files containing the job log of a job
named QP0ZSPWT are produced.

CORRECTION FOR APAR 'SE70059' :
-------------------------------
Indexing is performed in a QSHELL job named QP0ZSPWT.  If
indexing fails, an attempt is made to import the job log
messages from the QP0ZSPWT job into the job log of the job that
issued the ADDRPTOND command.  In some cases, the code that
performs the import goes into a loop where each iteration
creates a new spooled file containing the job log of the
QP0ZSPWT job.  This code has been changed to avoid the loop in
these cases.

CIRCUMVENTION FOR APAR 'SE70059' :
----------------------------------
None.

DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM FIXED FOR APAR 'SE70147' :
-------------------------------------------------
The load of an *AFPDS spooled file hangs.  The QSHELL (qsh) job
named QP0ZSPWT that is running program QRLMIDXC appears to be in
a loop.  Procedure getNextAFPRecord of program QRLMRSC will be
at the bottom of the call stack.  You might also see multiple
messages in the job log similar to this:
Message ID: CPFA09C
Severity: 40
Message type: Diagnostic
Message: Not authorized to object. Object is .
From program: QGSLRSC
To program: QRLMRSC

CORRECTION FOR APAR 'SE70147' :
-------------------------------
Program QRLMRSC looks through the *AFPDS data stream to
determine the resource type of an IFS resource. The program did
not correctly handle the situation where the last structured
field record in a buffer was completely contained in that
buffer.  This caused the program to go into a loop. The problem
has been corrected.

CIRCUMVENTION FOR APAR 'SE70147' :
----------------------------------
None.
