APAR Error Description / Circumvention

-------------------------------------------------
Job ended with CPC1224 when the job was running ENDTCP or
ENDTCPSVR *ALL.
CPC1224  Completion  50  02/22/18  01:18:43.184134
Message . . . . :   Job ended abnormally.
Cause . . . . . :   A SIGTERM signal was received for the
job. The action for the signal was to terminate the job.

CORRECTION FOR APAR 'SE69899' :
-------------------------------
1. After apply this fix, a signal handler is set to catch
SIGTERM while ENDTCP or ENDTCPSVR is running.
(1)This signal handler sends CPF9898 with the SIGTERM sender
info to job log if the job is terminated with SIGTERM.
Example of message CPF9898:
SIGNAL SIGTERM GENERATED BY JOB (063079/USER/QZSHSH)
PID(3533) UID(106) ERROR(0) TO TERMINATE JOB
(063142/USER/QPADEV0001) PID(3557) PGID(3557) UID(106)
Side effect:
If the job has any special signal handler of SIGTERM,
ENDTCP or ENDTCPSVR will replace the existing signal
handler with its own.  The original signal handler will
not be restored, CPF9898 "REMOVED THE OLD SIGNAL HANDLER"
will be sent to job log and the signal handler will be
set to the system default at the end of ENDTCP or
ENDTCPSVR.

(2)This signal handler also can ignore SIGTERM if user created
data area QUSRSYS/QTOCSIGNAL with value "1".
Here is the example of the CL commands:
a. CRTDTAARA DTAARA(QUSRSYS/QTOCSIGNAL) TYPE(*CHAR) LEN(5)
b. CHGDTAARA DTAARA(QUSRSYS/QTOCSIGNAL *ALL) VALUE('1')
Side effect:
User can not end the job with SIGTERM (e.g. ENDJOB) while
ENDTCP or ENDTCPSVR is running.

2. User can disable this fix by setting the value of data area
QUSRSYS/QTOCSIGNAL to "X".
Here is the example of the CL commands:
a. CRTDTAARA DTAARA(QUSRSYS/QTOCSIGNAL) TYPE(*CHAR) LEN(5)
b. CHGDTAARA DTAARA(QUSRSYS/QTOCSIGNAL *ALL) VALUE('X')
There is no side effect in this status since the fix won't
set signal handler for ENDTCP and ENDTCPSVR.
