APAR Error Description / Circumvention
-----------------------------------------------
Server mode CLI jobs, QSQSRVR, are producing a job log when they
end even though the job description is set for *PND. The problem
appears to be that the QSQSRVR job itself is printing the job
log. There is a data area, NOCLILOG, which is set to also
prevent these log from being created but it has no effect.
See APAR SE49688 for more details on this data area. To create
the data area, use the command:
CRTDTAARA DTAARA(QSYS/NOCLILOG) TYPE(*CHAR) LEN(1)
CORRECTION FOR APAR SE67943 :
-----------------------------
Code will be enhanced to allow user to request the QSQSRVR
joblogs to not get produced when the job ends unexpectedly, for
example due to a ENDSBS command. Normally, a joblog is produced
to find the root cause of the catastrophic errors in the QSQSRVR
jobs. To request that the joblog not be produced, both of the
below settings need to be set.
The JOBD used by the QSQSRVR jobs needs to be set to
LOGOUTPUT(*PND) and
the CLI dataarea needs to exist on the system. This can be
created with the following command
CRTDTAARA DTAARA(QSYS/NOCLILOG) TYPE(*CHAR) LEN(1)
