APAR Error Description / Circumvention
When issuing WRKCFGSTS to look at the status of an IASP, Failed
shows as the reporting status. However DSPASPSTS shows the IASP
as Available, but the last steps performed show as if a vary off
Code is being created to add some new function which will log
the job that issues a Vary On or Vary Off command of an IASP
device and place it in the DSPASPSTS output.

the Vary command was warranted or if something else needs to be

Start a new job after applying the PTF.
Additionally, to have DSPASPSTS panel reset its counters, you must vary
off then vary back on your IASP.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUPERSEDED PTF SI58908 :
You must IPL to apply the fix.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUPERSEDED PTF SI58500 :
On each node in the cluster, end clustering, apply the fix, and then
start clustering. It is not necessary to update all nodes at the same
time, however, any node without the fix will continue to be a potential
source of the problem.
