Application of this PTF may disable or render ineffective programs that
use system memory addresses not generated by the IBM translator,
including programs that circumvent control technology designed to limit
interactive capacity to purchased levels. This PTF may be a prerequisite
for future PTFs. By applying this PTF you authorize and agree to the
foregoing.
This PTF is subject to the terms of the license agreement which
accompanied, or was contained in, the Program for which you are obtaining
the PTF. You are not authorized to install or use the PTF except as part
of a Program for which you have a valid Proof of Entitlement.

The applicable license agreement may have been provided to you in printed
form and/or may be viewed using the Work with Software Agreements (WRKSFWAGR)
CL command.
APAR Error Description / Circumvention
-------------------------------------------------
It is important to keep all systems in a BRMS network at the
same level of BRMS PTFs.
Fixes included in this PTF may reference enhancements. More
information on these enhancements can be found on the BRMS web
page:

Fixes in this PTF:
1. N/A
2. In 7.1 and later, media using versioning may not expire
correctly when saved data contents include spooled files saved
via a spool list.
3. In 7.1 and later, BRMS has been enhanced to send error
message MSGBRM1921 when BRMS operations are attempted without a
valid 57xxBR1 license key.
4. In 7.1 and later, when using native save commands to save
data to BRMS enrolled media, the expiration date for the volume
may not be set to *PERM.
5. In 7.1 and later, BRMS job Q1ACPDST has a memory leak.
6. N/A.
7. In 7.1 and later, when using BRMS functional authority, not
all BRMS functions are locked when using BRMS GUI client.
8. In 7.1 and later, after loading 57xxBR1 PTFs, BRMS working
files may not be deleted.
9. In 7.1 and later, BRMS backups using a control group may hang
when saving the media recovery information.
10. In 7.1 and later, cloud turn key control group names
starting with prefix QCLDBIPL or QCLDBGRP or a cloud control
group using a media class set to *VRTUDF may incorrectly fail
with MSGOPT1487.
11. In 7.1 and later, cloud turn key control group names
starting with prefix QCLDBGRP or QCLDBUSR do not save journaled
objects when specifying cumulative or incremental saves.
12. In 7.1and later, when making changes in BRMS GUI client when
signed on with a user profile that starts with the letter 'Q',
the BRMS GUI client 'Changed by' user profile properties
incorrectly show QUSER.
13. In 7.2 and later, BRMS GUI client system policy updates to
the 'Output queue' and 'Output queue library' attributes are not
being updated in green screen.
14. In 7.1 and later, message MSGBRM1049 may be incorrectly
emailed twice.
15. In 7.1 and later, when doing an install, the QBRMSYNC job
in the Q1ABRMNET subsystem may have a lot of history updates to
synchronize to other systems in the BRMS network when upgrading
from 6.1 or lower.
16. In 7.1 and later, when doing cloud backups and restores
using turnkey devices, message MSGBRM1294 may be incorrectly
posted.
17. In 7.1 and later, STRMNTBRM will clean up files in QUSRBRM
with a suffix of $$ or #.
18. In 7.1 and later, WRKLOCBRM and BRMS GUI client 'Manage
locations...' will show the current count for volumes and
containers on current system.
19. In 7.1 and later, message MSGCPD0078 may be incorrectly
posted when restoring multiple IFS items using WRKMEDIBRM option
7.
20. In 7.1 and later, STRRCYBRM OPTION(*SYSTEM) ACTION(*REPORT)
for a cloud backup may incorrectly list cloud volumes that were
not moved to the cloud location at the time the report was
created.
21. In 7.2 and later, performance of first incremental save
after a full save of *ALLUSR may be improved when
SAVACT(*SYNCLIB) is specified.
22. In 7.1 and later, STRMNTBRM does not validate input for the
Remove log entries(RMVLOGE) parameter.
23. In 7.1 and later, PRTRPTBRM may post message MSGMCH1210.
24. In 7.1 and later, using option 2 or 5 from the WRKPCYBRM
TYPE(*MED) display may incorrectly post a MSGMCH1202 message.
CORRECTION FOR APAR 'SE66126' :

Load and apply this PTF.
Note: When loading BRMS PTFs, the system needs to be out of
FlashCopy mode for the PTF to apply.
To verify the FlashCopy status of a system is *END, enter the
following command:
CALL PGM(QBRM/Q1AOLD) PARM('FLSSYSSTS ' '*DISPLAY')
After the BRMS PTF is installed, do the following to enable the
BRMS plug-in for the IBM Systems Director Navigator for i5/OS
(web browser) or System i Navigator windows client.
Enable the BRMS plug-in for the IBM Systems Director Navigator
for i5/OS.
==== V6R1 and newer only:
Note: ending the http admin servers may affect other non-BRMS
users.
From System i:
1. Enter the command to end the http admin servers:
ENDTCPSVR SERVER(*HTTP) HTTPSVR(*ADMIN)
2. Wait for the http admin server jobs to end or terminate
them.
Use command: WRKACTJOB SBS(QHTTPSVR)
3. Restart the http admin servers:
STRTCPSVR SERVER(*HTTP) HTTPSVR(*ADMIN)

Enable the BRMS plug-in for System i Navigator Windows/OS
client.
==== Pre-V6R1:
1) Close the System i Navigator application.
2) On the client/PC, uninstall the BRMS plug-in using the
Client
Access Express "Selective Setup" utility: from the
Windows
"Start", select
"Programs->IBM iSeries Access for Windows->Selective
Setup".
Follow the instructions on the dialogs to uninstall the
BRMS
plug-in. Notes:
a) On the second dialog, select the radio button "Ignore.
I'm
only going to UN-install components".
b) On the next screen, "Component Selection", open the
System i Navigator folder; a list of all installed
System i Navigator components and plug-ins is displayed.
c) Deselect the BRMS plug-in to uninstall it (if you do
not
see the BRMS plug-in, it was not properly installed);
reboot the PC if requested.
3) Start System i Navigator.
4) Use the System i Navigator "Install Options->Install
Plug-in"
action. This action is available from the main iSeries
Navigator "File" menu and the "My Connections" folder
context/pop-up menu. When prompted for the iSeries system
to install from, select the iSeries that has the new BRMS
PTF installed.
=== V6R1 and newer:
1) Close the System i Navigator application.
2) Open a Windows Command Prompt screen.
3) Enter the following command:
cwbinplg /REMOVE=IBM.BRMSPlugin
4) On the client/PC, start the iSeries Navigator.
5) Use the System i Navigator "Install Options->Install
Plug-in"
action. This action is available from the main System i
Navigator "File" menu and the "My Connections" folder
context/pop-up menu. When prompted for the iSeries system
to install from, select the iSeries that has the new BRMS
PTF installed.
