APAR Error Description / Circumvention

-----------------------------------------------
A number of fixes and improvements are needed in the Content
Manager OnDemand component of IBM Navigator for i.

Check interval and Password stash file fields are needed on the
Start Monitor panels.  They already exist on the monitor
definition panels, but they are needed on the start panels
because most of the fields in the definitions can be overridden
at start time.

For directory monitors, use the same file selector for both the
password stash file and the directory to monitor. The interface
is friendlier, and should be consistent in both places.

All action buttons other than Add on all list panels should be
disabled until the user selects an item to act against.

QUSROND is allowed to be selected as the current instance even
when there are no instances defined.  Instead, a message should
be displayed if no instances are defined.

Improve the message issued when a migration policy cannot be
deleted.  One likely cause of not being able to delete a
migration policy is that the storage set associated with it
cannot be deleted because it is used in an application group.
To determine whether that is the problem, the user must find the
QPRINT spooled file containing output from the ARSXML program,
which contains the error message.

CORRECTION FOR APAR SE65303 :

Check interval and Password stash file fields have been added to
the Start Monitor panels.

For directory monitors, the file chooser for the password stash
file field is now used for the directory to monitor.

Action buttons other than Add are disabled on list panels until
the user selects an item to act against.

The message issued when a migration policy cannot be deleted has
been changed to indicate the location of the output containing
ARSXML errors.

The instance server must be restarted before using the Content Manager
OnDemand component of IBM Navigator for i to work with directory or
output queue monitor definitions.

The HTTP Admin server must be ended and restarted for this fix to be
activated.

To end the HTTP Admin server, enter the End TCP/IP Server command:

ENDTCPSVR SERVER(*HTTP) HTTPSVR(*ADMIN)

Then, to restart the HTTP Admin server, enter the Start TCP/IP Server
command:

STRTCPSVR SERVER(*HTTP) HTTPSVR(*ADMIN)

If you have used the Content Manager OnDemand component of IBM
Navigator
for i in the past to create or change migration policies, you should
check the aggregation size limit value for those policies and ensure
it is set to your desired value.

The HTTP Admin server must be ended and restarted for this fix to be
activated.

To end the HTTP Admin server, enter the End TCP/IP Server command:

ENDTCPSVR SERVER(*HTTP) HTTPSVR(*ADMIN)

Then, to restart the HTTP Admin server, enter the Start TCP/IP Server
command:

STRTCPSVR SERVER(*HTTP) HTTPSVR(*ADMIN)

Make sure the Content Manager OnDemand administrative client is not
currently being used to download sample data while this PTF is being
applied.  If it is being used at the same time, the user may receive an
error stating "IBM i Acess returned error 6021".  In that case, the
user will need to retry the download after the PTF is installed.

The HTTP *ADMIN server must be ended and restarted for this fix to be
activated.

To activate this change, the HTTP admin server must be stopped and
started after this PTF is applied.

The HTTP *ADMIN server must be stopped and then started to activate
this PTF.

The OnDemand Archive plug-in must be uninstalled and re-installed for
this fix to take affect.

The OnDemand Archive plug-in does not need to be uninstalled and
re-installed for PTF SI50552.
