use system memory addresses not generated by the IBM translator,
including programs that circumvent control technology designed to limit
interactive capacity to purchased levels.  This PTF may be a prerequisite

APAR Error Description / Circumvention

-----------------------------------------------
It is important to keep all systems in a BRMS network at the
same level of BRMS PTFs.
Fixes included in this PTF may reference enhancements. More
information on these enhancements can be found on the BRMS web
page:

Fixes in this PTF:
1. In 7.1 and later, when an expired volume, that previously had
been marked as duplicated, is used during a save, the volume may
be incorrectly marked as duplicated with * in the Dup Sts column
when the media displayed using the WRKMEDBRM command.
2. In 7.1 and later, if the BRMS GUI client is used to add
volumes to a media pool, the Add Volumes wizard is not
displayed.
3. In 7.2 and later, when the STRMGRBRM command is run for a
control group that has the Type attribute set to *CRTDATE,
*LASTUSE, or *LASTCHG, the correct items may not be selected for
migration.
4. In 7.2 and later, when the STRMGRBRM command is run for a
control group that has the Migration attribute set to *SSD or
*NONSSD or the MGRBRM command is run with *SSD or *NONSSD
specified for the TOASP parameter, they may incorrectly fail
with message MSGBRM1F29.
5. N/A.
6. In 7.1 and later, the STRMNTBRM command may fail with message
MSGCPD4019.
7. In 7.1 and later, performance has been improved when the
STRMNTBRM command is run with *YES specified the RGZBRMDB
parameter.
8. In 7.1 and later, after a BRMS operation rejects a volume,
the volume may not be available for use in another BRMS job,
causing BRMS operations to fail with message MSGBRM148A.
9. In 7.1 and later, when the WRKMEDIBRM command is used to work
with a list of saved items
and page up is pressed after the top of the list is displayed,
values specified in Options field will be lost.

10. 7.1 and later, BRMS has been enhanced to save data to the
cloud using Cloud Storage Connector for i (5733ICC).
11. In 7.1 and later, remote media duplication may fail with
message MSGBRM4138.
12. In 7.1 and later, restores from parallel save media may fail
with message MSGCPF41B0 without attempting to use alternative
volumes.
13. N/A.
14. In 7.1 and later, when a user that has authority via a group
profile runs a restore, the restore may incorrectly fail with
message MSGBRM1473.
15.  In 7.1 and later, BRMS has been enhanced to send error
message MSGBRM1921 when BRMS operations are attempted without a
valid 57xxBR1 license.
16. In 7.2 and later, when the STREXPBRM command is run, volumes
that were created using the SAVSAVFBRM command may not be
expired as expected.
17. In 7.2 and later, the WRKOBJBRM command may not list saved
objects correctly.
18. In 7.1 and later, when the STRRCYBRM command is run with
*APYJRNCHG specified for the OPTION parameter, it may
incorrectly fail with message MSGCPF69AB.
19. In 7.1 and later, when an invalid value is specified for the
FROMSYS parameter on the PRTRPTBRM command or for the SYSNAME
parameter on the WRKMEDBRM command or STRBALBRM command, the
command does not fail with message MSGCPD0074 as expected.
20. In 7.1 and later, when backups are done with a Retention
type of 3=Versions, the STRMNTBRM command with *YES specified
for the EXPMED parameter or the STREXPBRM command may
incorrectly expire volumes and remove media information.
21. In 7.1 and later, when a backup fails with message
MSGCPF3795, the message is added to the BRMS log with incorrect
message data.
22. In 7.1 and later, when WRKPCYBRM OPTION(*MED) is run and
option 2 is specified to change a media policy, a message is not
sent if an invalid value is specified for the Deleted library
retention field.
23.  In 7.1 and later, when STRBKUBRM is run for a control group
that has omits that were specified using the BRMS GUI client,
the backup may incorrectly fail with message MSGCPF37B4.
24. In 7.1 and later, parallel saves of multiple libraries may
loop.
25. In 7.1 and later, if an IASP FlashCopy time is set up and
PRTRPTBRM is run, report QP1ABS may show an incorrect value for
the Number of Objects Saved field or other fields.
26.  In 7.2 and later, SAVOBJLBRM may not save all the entries
in a list.
27. In 7.1 and later, when MOVMEDBRM or STRMNTBRM MOVMED(*YES)
is run, the command may run longer than expected.
28. In 7.1 and later, the BRMS GUI client does not allow special
value *NONE or blank for the Library fields in the System Policy
submitted jobs section.
29. In 7.2 and later, after a volume is removed from the BRMS
media inventory by running the RMVMEDBRM command or the
WRKMEDBRM command and specifying option 4, the volume may not be
removed from other systems in the BRMS network.

CORRECTION FOR APAR SE65132 :

Load and apply this PTF.

Note: When loading BRMS PTFs, the system needs to be out of
FlashCopy mode for the PTF to apply.
To verify the FlashCopy status of a system is *END, enter the
following command:
CALL PGM(QBRM/Q1AOLD) PARM('FLSSYSSTS ' '*DISPLAY')

After the BRMS PTF is installed, do the following to enable the
BRMS plug-in for the IBM Systems Director Navigator for i5/OS
(web browser) or System i Navigator windows client.

Enable the BRMS plug-in for the IBM Systems Director Navigator
for i5/OS.
==== V6R1 and newer only:
Note:  ending the http admin servers may affect other non-BRMS
users.
From System i:
1. Enter the command to end the http admin servers:
ENDTCPSVR SERVER(*HTTP) HTTPSVR(*ADMIN)
2. Wait for the http admin server jobs to end or terminate
them.
Use command:  WRKACTJOB SBS(QHTTPSVR)
3. Restart the http admin servers:
STRTCPSVR SERVER(*HTTP) HTTPSVR(*ADMIN)

Enable the BRMS plug-in for System i Navigator Windows/OS
client.
==== Pre-V6R1:
1) Close the System i Navigator application.
2) On the client/PC, uninstall the BRMS plug-in using the
Client

Access Express "Selective Setup" utility:  from the
Windows
"Start", select
"Programs->IBM iSeries Access for Windows->Selective
Setup".

Follow the instructions on the dialogs to uninstall the
BRMS

plug-in.  Notes:
a) On the second dialog, select the radio button "Ignore.
I'm
only going to UN-install components".
b) On the next screen, "Component Selection", open the
System i Navigator folder; a list of all installed
System i Navigator components and plug-ins is displayed.
c) Deselect the BRMS plug-in to uninstall it (if you do
not
see the BRMS plug-in, it was not properly installed);
reboot the PC if requested.
3) Start System i Navigator.
4) Use the System i Navigator "Install Options->Install
Plug-in"
action. This action is available from the main iSeries
Navigator "File" menu and the "My Connections" folder
context/pop-up menu.  When prompted for the iSeries system
to install from, select the iSeries that has the new BRMS
PTF installed.

=== V6R1 and newer:
1) Close the System i Navigator application.
2) Open a Windows Command Prompt screen.
3) Enter the following command:
cwbinplg /REMOVE=IBM.BRMSPlugin
4) On the client/PC, start the iSeries Navigator.
5) Use the System i Navigator "Install Options->Install
Plug-in"
action. This action is available from the main System i
Navigator "File" menu and the "My Connections" folder
context/pop-up menu.  When prompted for the iSeries system
to install from, select the iSeries that has the new BRMS
PTF installed.
