APAR Error Description / Circumvention

-------------------------------------------------
It is important to keep all systems in a BRMS network at the
same level of BRMS PTFs.
Fixes included in this PTF may reference enhancements. More
information on these enhancements can be found on the BRMS web
page:
www.ibm.com/developerworks/ibmi/brms
Additionally also review the media web page:
www.ibm.com/developerworks/ibmi/media

Fixes in this PTF:
1. In 7.1 and later, the Save Object using BRM (SAVOBJBRM)
command may incorrectly include message MSGCPF3763 in the job
log and the BRMS log.
2. In 7.1 and later, when the Work with Devices using BRM
(WRKDEVBRM) command is run, option 2=Change is selected for a
device and F4=Prompt is pressed to list densities for the Allow
densities Read field, not all supported densities are listed.
3. In 7.1 and later, when the Work with Policies using BRM
(WRKPCYBRM) command is run with *MED specified for the Policy
type (TYPE) parameter and option 2=Change is selected for a
media policy, F4=Prompt does not update Automatic duplication
fields.
4. In 7.1 and later, when the Work with Media Information
(WRKMEDIBRM) command is run with option 2=Change specified for a
saved item and the expiration date is changed, the expiration
date for all the saved item's parallel volumes may not be
updated.
5. In 7.1 and later, BRMS has been enhanced to support volume
selection priority for output volumes during BRMS operations.
6. In 7.1, when a BRMS saved item is deleted from a system in a
BRMS network, the saved item may not be deleted from other
systems in the BRMS network.
7. In 7.1 and later, BRMS Enterprise report definitions have
been enhanced to allow values other than *LCL to be specified
for the From system (FROMSYS) on the Print Report using BRM
(PRTRPTBRM) command.
8. In 7.1 and later, the Duplicate Media using BRM (DUPMEDBRM)
command has been enhanced to clarify why the value specified on
the To volume (TOVOL) parameter was changed to *MOUNTED if the
original TOVOL value is not used during the duplication.
9. In 7.1 and later, when the Duplicate Media using BRM
(DUPMEDBRM) command is run with 1 specified for the To sequence
number (TOSEQNBR) parameter for a remote duplication and data
area QUSRBRM/Q1AALWMFDP exists, the job may be incorrectly
interrupted with inquiry message MSGBRM148A.
10. In 7.1 and later, if the Duplicate Media using BRM
(DUPMEDBRM) command is run to do remote duplication when
FlashCopy is configured for independent auxiliary storage pools
(IASP), saved history for IASPs may not be processed and the
DUPMEDBRM resume key may not be set.
11. N/A.
12. In 7.2 and later, when the Migrate using BRM (MGRBRM)
command is run with *SSD or *NONSSD specified for the To asp
(TOASP) parameter and a value other than *OBJ is specified for
the Type (TYPE) parameter, the command will incorrectly fail
with message MSGMCH1202.
13. In 7.1 and later, when the Migrate using BRM (MGRBRM)
command is run with an independent auxiliary storage pool (IASP)
that is varied off specified for To asp (TOASP) parameter, the
message replacement data for message MSGCPF9873 is incorrect.
14. In 7.1 and later, when independent auxiliary storage pool
(IASP) FlashCopy is configured and remote duplication is run by
specifying the From system (FROMSYS) parameter on the Duplicate
Media using BRM (DUPMEDBRM) command, after the duplication
completes, the system that owns the media may incorrectly be set
to the system that performed the remote duplication.
15. In 7.1 and later, when using the Restore Library using BRM
(RSTLIBBRM) command to restore data to a newly created auxiliary
storage pool (ASP), the restore may fail with message
MSGBRM2112.
16. In 7.1 and later, when the Save System using BRM (SAVSYSBRM)
command, the Save Library using BRM (SAVLIBBRM) command or the
Start Backup using BRM (STRBKUBRM) command for a control group
with *SAVCFG/*SAVSECDTA/*SAVSYS entries is run,  volume
information for the saved item may be incorrect.
17. In 7.1 and later, after upgrading systems from 6.1 or
earlier, independent auxiliary storage pool (IASP) FlashCopy
configuration may be lost.
18. N/A.
19. In 7.2 and later, when the Save Object List using BRM
(SAVOBJLBRM) command or the Start Backup using BRM (STRBKUBRM)
