APAR Error Description / Circumvention
-----------------------------------------------
During cluster node start up, within the Admin Domain CRG job
and/or during Administrative Domain CRG job start up, a rare
issue can be experienced where there is a problem when creating
an internal join message where the allocated space gets freed up
inadvertently while it's still being used. This may result in
MSGMCH0601 and also generates dumps in the job. There may also
be a MSGCPI93B2 that contains a symptom string similar to 5770
SP/QCSTADSIMP MOD/CSTADJOINS RC3.
CORRECTION FOR APAR SE61669 :
-----------------------------
The cluster code is changed to not free up the allocated space
until it is done.
CIRCUMVENTION FOR APAR SE61669 :
--------------------------------
None.
DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM FIXED FOR APAR SE61954 :
-----------------------------------------------
Due to a timing window, the admin domain join code is
incorrectly processing the second message instead of the first
message from the same sender.
CORRECTION FOR APAR SE61954 :
-----------------------------
The timing window is closed so the the message processing is
correct.
CIRCUMVENTION FOR APAR SE61954 :
--------------------------------
None.
Activation Instructions
None.
Special Instructions
The PTF must be applied on all nodes in the cluster. However, it is not
necessary to update all cluster nodes at the same time. On each node in
the cluster: end clustering, apply the PTF, then start clustering.
********************************************************************
THE FOLLOWING ARE SUPERSEDED SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS. IF THE SUPERSEDED
PTF HAS ALREADY BEEN APPLIED AND ITS SPECIAL INSTRUCTION FOLLOWED,
IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO FOLLOW THAT SPECIAL INSTRUCTION AGAIN.
********************************************************************
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUPERSEDED PTF SI56541 :
=================================================
On each node in the cluster, end clustering, apply the fix, and then
start clustering. It is not necessary to update all nodes at the same
time, however, any node without the fix will continue to be a potential
source of the problem.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUPERSEDED PTF SI51892 :
=================================================
On each node in the cluster, end clustering, end the QPRFSYNCH job,
apply the fix, and then
start clustering. It is not necessary to update all nodes at the same
time, however, any node without the fix will continue to be a potential
source of the problem.
Default Instructions
THIS PTF CAN BE APPLIED IMMEDIATE OR DELAYED.
