APAR Error Description / Circumvention

-----------------------------------------------
The variables section of the ILE RPG formatted dump is printing
alphanumeric data without first converting it to the job CCSID.

CORRECTION FOR APAR SE58746 :
-----------------------------
The ILE RPG runtime will be changed so that alphanumeric,
graphic, and UCS-2 data will be converted to the job CCSID
before being placed in the clear-text version of the
variable data.

The hexadecimal version of the data will not be converted.
It will reflect the actual contents of the variable.

For example, if two variables have the value 'abcde' and one
has CCSID 37 and the other has CCSID 1208, the output of the
formatted dump for those variables will appear like this.
The value of the fields is the same, but the hexadecimal
value is different due to the different CCSIDs of the fields.

NAME      ATTRIBUTES           VALUE
A1208     CHAR(5) CCSID(1208)  'abcde'          '6162636465'X
A37       CHAR(5) CCSID(37)    'abcde'          '8182838485'X

Note that this change will only affect the formatted
dump for ILE RPG modules compiled for target release V7R2M0.

CIRCUMVENTION FOR APAR SE58746 :
--------------------------------
None.

DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM FIXED FOR APAR SE58838 :
-----------------------------------------------
When an alphanumeric variable has a CCSID different from the job
CCSID, it may not show correctly when it is used in factor 1
or the result field of the DSPLY operation, and the value
entered by the user may not be assigned correctly to the
result field.

CORRECTION FOR APAR SE58838 :
-----------------------------
The ILE RPG runtime will be changed so that when the variables
or expressions used with DSPLY are not in the job CCSID,
the data displayed to the user will be converted to the
job CCSID, and the data entered by the user will be
converted from the job CCSID to the CCSID of the result
field.

Note that for a complete solution, the RPG program must
be recompiled with compiler PTF SI53228.

This PTF also corrects a similar problem with XML-INTO.

Alternate symptom string:

RPGLE-RUN-INCORROUT XML-INTO WITH NON-JOB ALPHANUMERIC CCSIDS
