APAR Error Description / Circumvention
-----------------------------------------------
When PM Agent is first configured it retrieves default contact
information from the ECS database. If an attempt is made to
configure PM Agent prior to configuring ESA an error can occur
while trying to assign a default value to the PM Agent e-mail
address.
CORRECTION FOR APAR SE57618 :
-----------------------------
In most cases the lack of contact information in the ECS
database will result in a default value of blanks being used to
populate the corresponding PM Agent field. The one exception is
the e-mail address which goes through an ASCII to EBCDIC
translation, so the result is the x'40's (from the program
initialized field) being translated to what the translation
table thinks is the EBCDIC equivalent. At best, this will
result in an odd value in the e-mail address; worst case, the
field will be populated with undisplayable characters.
Modified the appropriate programs to not attempt to translate
the e-mail address when an error is encountered retrieving the
information from the ECS database.
