APAR Error Description / Circumvention

If an application performs a successful positioning for update
of a record in a DB2 Mirrored file and then does not delete or
update the record or explicitly request that the lock be
released, a subsequent positioning attempt may result in the
local update lock being released, but not the remote.  This
typically surfaces with subsequent lock time-outs due to the
held target record lock.

CORRECTION FOR APAR MA49583 :

Changes were made to ensure that locks on both the local and
remote systems are released in this situation.
